Oh, P.S. - One last thing before I go..

January 04th, 2008 | Category: NewComers, Review

I couldn’t help mysef - I know I said I was going, but it wouldnt be fair of me to not share this recent discovery by my friend Bethany Heart with all the MichaMi readers.  I know you all probobly have the same fetish for footwear that I do - so I hope you all wont be too dissapointed with me sharing.  Anyway, it seems that Bethany has discovered some new shoes, and let me be the first to publically say: fabulous.  The store is called Kittie’s Lair by Babette Ultsch and she offers a range of clothing and sculpted shoes and hats - we decided to give you just a small taste of what’s available.

Bethany (on the left) is modeling one pair of the boots, which are a bit more casual and also feature a super trendy banana heel while I (obviously on the right) went for something a bit more dramatic in a black stiletto fetish-styled heel.  If you share the same love of shoes as Bethany and I, then may I strongly reccomend that you head on over to Kittie’s Lair and try a pair on?

His & Hers from Relika

November 25th, 2007 | Category: Casual, Daytime, Fashion, Looks, Men, Review

An Autumny look for you and your man.

His & Hers from Relika

I like this Down To Earth outfit from Relika; the jacket has some nice texturing and detailed buttons and the skirt is girlie and pouffy. I added a white cashmere turtle neck (filled out below with white system underpants) and some knee-high boots. Ben is wearing the Lucas set, also from Relika — for more on the men’s wear, head over to SL Men where Ben goes into more detail.

Fashion Statement

November 18th, 2007 | Category: Chic, Fashion, Glam, Looks, Nighttime, Review

This last Thursday I saw the fashion show put together by Digit Darke (of ex-X3D) and Bianca Foulon (of Bianca F) and I have to say I was very pleased with what I saw. The theme was PunkyRomantik and the designs were both colourful and powerful. These are clothes for the strong and confident girl — your are guaranteed to make a fashion statement wearing this line.

After the show I was invited to pick out my favourite outfit and my choice fell on this fabulous piece. If you’ve read this blog before, you’ll know that I love unusual and original dresses and this one fits the bill perfectly. The colour combinations, the gorgeous yellow tie and the asymmetrical hemline all come together beautifully. The shoes are also original in their design in the form of a little bootie/pump combo with silver details.

I’ve been a fan of Digit Darke since discovering X3D way back in my noob-days and I’m really happy to see that she is still delivering the goods. I can’t wait to see what else will be coming out of her design studio for this Autumn/Winter.

This is the latest version of The Bombshell from Armidi, perfect with this dress.

YSL “Elle” Launch Party

October 02nd, 2007 | Category: Events, Review

Here then, is my account of last night’s perfume launch “Elle” by YSL.

ysl_01oct2007_004.jpg

I definitely had a pleasant time, we were treated to a presentation including a speech and a rather cool promo video. I liked the build of the sim, all in bold fuchsia to reflect the design of the bottle. Residents can explore the sim for the next 3 months after which it will close. During the time it stays open it will be dedicated to art, which YSL staff were keen to stress was something they were focusing on as sponsors of FIAC. Residents can submit artwork for exhibition through e-mail to laurent@andreamedia.com.

Mercury Preview

July 28th, 2007 | Category: Editorial, Fashion, Review

I’m sure most of you have read the hype about Mercury lately. I have to admit, I was a little suspicious or skeptical about all that marketing, thinking that it would be difficult to live up to the expectations. However, I’m happy to say that I was wrong! I was invited to the pre-opening of the shop today and I really liked what I saw. The Whitfield sisters (the designers behind Mercury) were funny and witty, and their styles eclectic and exciting. Most of all I love how different and original their designs are - something I will always welcome with open arms. I would most definitely recommend you go and have a look.

This outfit here is the Neo-Amelia and it was a gift to all those attending the preview. I decided to have some fun with it and added torn fishnets and platform shoes for a little punk (the outfit also comes with some funky yellow fishnets that I’m not wearing here).

Mercury Preview

This unusual hairstyle is from ETD and will be released soon. I received this early copy as I was a beta-tester, and I had struggled to think of a way to wear it - until now!
