I started out today with a look from Jennifer Lopez’ latest video Hold It Don’t Drop It in mind. In it, she wears these over-the-knee boots with a white baby doll dress. However, I then realised I did a white baby doll dress look just a couple of days ago…
A favourite mix of mine today; romantic dress styled to a rock-chic look.
Here’s an anti-romance look before we go into romantic overdrive tomorrow.
It’s a rock chic dress with lots of attitude that I just love –it’s from Punch Drunk, and quite frankly, the best work I’ve seen from them so far. I accessorised with a sexy collar (on the Spine) and a little black and silver necklace (on Chest) and some fierce stud cuffs.
A word on these new shoes from Maitreya: In my little honest opinion, they have taken shoe design in Second Life to a new level. Never mind the exquisite technical execution (which we have come to expect from Maitreya by now) it’s the very design that gets my belly fluttering — we have a platform with a ridiculously high heel that come together in a BEAUTIFUL silhouette, which looks so high-fashion it hurts! There are other designers on the grid, who perhaps strive for that same panache, but never really manage to shake the hooker-heel feel from their footwear. This is NOT the case with these….. Bravo!, Onyx Leshelle

After a very glam-filled weekend, it’s time to get back to mundane activities. In my case decorating my beautiful new house! I needed an outfit for zipping around the grid like a mad women obsessively looking for the perfect lounge furniture.
I wanted something causal yet feminine and found the perfect combination with this grey Tee (with a gorgeously open back) and this funky, tiered red skirt that sits quite low on the hips in a casually sexy way. I continued with reds and greys in the cuffs and the pumps.

I’ve had these over-knee boots for a while and I’ve been wanting to wear them, but I never managed a look that didn’t look just trashy. So, today I experimented with an urban, rock-chic version and I think the boots come out looking good.
I wanted a tiny leather jacket with a large sweater underneath and, oh my was that difficult! This little biker jacket here was perfect and caused no problem; the trouble started with finding something longer that was NOT on the Jacket Layer — eventually (after a lot of testing, fiddling and hair pulling) I went with this sweater on the Shirt Layer and a piece from a Camie Cooper Tee on the Pants Layer (God bless Camie Cooper, the queen of providing ALL layers) to cover the midriff part. Granted, the midriff part is not in the same colour as the sweater, but I actually kind of like the contrast. Finally, the sweater I used, came with this prim bottom attachment that was perfect for that big loose feeling I wanted. I continued with black pants (on the Underpant layer) and then added a beret just because it felt right.
Oh dear, I hope all that was not too confusing! A disclaimer: the bottom prim part of the sweater was actually really hard to make fit perfectly (I never managed a perfect fit), so if you prefer, just skip it for less of a headache.

I really had no intention of posting today as I like to be lazy on Saturdays. However, I went to check out this new-to-me shop, Emery, and I immediately fell for this causal yet rocky dress.
Although it’s definitely a dress, I felt for a more slouchy T-shirt kind of look and added a pair of white skinny jeans and a belt around the hips. My feet went into these pointy stilettos with the strong fuchsia providing an element of colour and picking up on the print on the dress.

These aviator glasses are also from Emery — love them too!

Here’s an earthy and hot look to get you noticed.
The dress is one of those that really does all the work on its own. It’s sexy, well cut and well textured — I especially like the lacy texture on the skirt prims. However, there is a big drawback; the price. At 800L$ it’s perhaps stretching it a little.
Nevertheless, it’s definitely a dress I like and enjoy wearing. I paired it with a pair of knee-high brown boots, wood jewellery and super-sexy hair.

A rock-chic look with a splash of feminine pink.
The centre piece is of course the pink leather jacket, which I paired with a plain black T-shirt and black skinny jeans. I chose these sexy knee-high boots and the studded belt for some edge.

This necklace here is actually one of the very first pieces I ever bought! It works perfectly for this look. I finished off with the slouchy hat on straight hair for a current flavour.
