A preppy college girl look today.

StudentessaStudentessa

I’ve got velvety textures in both the skirt and the jacket and it gives the look a warm wintry feel. I accessoried with black details in the hairband, scarf, belt, bag, knee-high socks and ankle boots.

Black and White Elegance

Monday, December 10th, 2007

An elegant and feminine look for a Monday morning.

Black and White EleganceBlack and White Elegance

I combined a sheer and delicate blouse with a tight-fitted, high-waisted skirt for a feel of professionalism mixed with subtle sexiness. For some added chic-ness, I added knee-high boots, diamonds and pearls, gloves and a lady-like handbag.

Monday Mix

Monday, October 29th, 2007

It’s Monday morning and time to go to work.

Monday MixMonday Mix

I started with the black little jacket as I really like the high collar and the little hook details. I teamed it with a white lacy blouse with some nice ruffled sleeves. This was also an opportunity to wear these gorgeous ruffle boots, so I opted for capris to really show them off.

Monday Mix

The high pony was perfect here, again to underline the high collar of the jacket. The little Chinese fan earrings were my only jewellery.

Clever Girl

Wednesday, October 17th, 2007

Another casual daytime look.

Clever GirlClever Girl

The blouse and vest are all in one piece (jacket layer) and I particularly like the dark burgundy red of the vest. I teamed it with a basic black skirt, opaque tights and black velvety wedges, and then I picked up on the burgundy with the knee socks. There are also some scattered pinks throughout; the top of the socks, the earrings and necklace and the nails.

Clever Girl

I went with glasses today, just to change it up a little.

City Slick

Friday, October 12th, 2007

A chic and sleek look for a girl with business on her mind.

City SlickCity Slick

I really like the black-and-midnight-blue combination, and here I’ve played with it throughout the look. The centre piece is the wonderful waistcoat in a deep indigo (with some fantastic texturing and shading going on as well). I added a ruffled blouse, the black low-slung skirt and knee-high boots. Midnight blue gloves and stockings, and the dark purple bag pick-up on the waistcoat, and the hat finishes it all beautifully.

Glamorous Business

Monday, October 1st, 2007

Today I attended the launch of YSL’s new perfume “Elle” at their new sim of the same name (YSL Elle). So, I needed a business-like look with lots of glamour and chic-ness.
(I will be reporting on the actual event tomorrow, after I go and sniff the perfume in question in my nearest make-up store.)

Glamorous BusinessGlamorous Business

I chose this satin corset jumpsuit set from G.L.A.M (bustier and gaucho pants) for the occasion. I added the cowl neck top, matching stockings and leather gloves for some colour and extra cover , and the boots (a given!).

Glamorous Business

Another gorgeous new hairstyle from ETD — I have a weakness for sexy, big hairstyles….

A professional and chic look for today.

GrayscaleGrayscale

I have different shades of grey; from the white blouse to the charcoal shrug to the black pants. I continued on the theme with black pearl necklace and earrings, black and white tuxedo pumps and the gorgeous darkgrey bag.

Platinum blond hair with red lips and nails to finish off.

Chic Comfort

Monday, August 13th, 2007

I needed something that looked elegant, chic and effortless for a business event.

The sheer brown top is just lovely. I opted for a clean profile, pairing it with white silk slacks, discrete gold jewelry and matching sling backs.

Chic Comfort

The hair is uncomplicated and the make-up in tune with the browns of the top.

The Devil Wears Paper Couture

Monday, August 6th, 2007

Now that I’ve embraced the fact that summer is drawing to an end, and autumn is inevitably coming, I’ve started looking seriously at the autumn collections being released in-world. My first stop was (of course) Paper Couture (I know, so very late and far behind all other fashionistas). This outfit here was my first pick.

image-1_06aug2007_10.jpgimage-2_06aug2007_1.jpg

How gorgeous is this? The high-waisted leather skirt, the corsette detail on top of the jumper, the over-sized turtle neck — just fab!

Only heavy duty jewels will do for this super diva; diamond earrings and a diamond ring of considerable size. The bag is also Paper Couture and just divine.

I would also like to draw your attention to my shoes.

These lovelies are something my darling Trev has been working on lately and I just had to give you all a little sneak peak of what will be coming soon. :o )

A professional yet chic updo paired with slightly aggressive red lips and fashionable glasses finish off this look.

Sweet Work

Saturday, August 4th, 2007

I felt for something sweet and demure today, and, as I will be “working” in SL I wanted a professional feel to the look.

image-1_04aug2007_6.jpgimage-2_04aug2007_8.jpg

The lovely feminine blouse with the puff sleeves is just so sweet. I paired it with these tweed city shorts and black tights for the professional part. I accessorised with simple sweet silver jewelry, a chic bag and black cute pumps.

This is a nod to autumn coming: we have long sleeves, tweed and tights. Usually I love the change of season for all the new clothes that become available, however, the summer-to-autumn also feels a little depressing and I’ve been slow to catch on…. sigh…

Sweet Work

The hair is pulled back in a classy pony to continue on the sweetness. The make-up, however, is stronger and darker with some pinky hues to add just a little edge to it all.
