Quick & Dirty
Monday, February 18th, 2008Pouf Piece
Thursday, February 7th, 2008I was feeling for comfy chic today.
For days of comfort like these, I love to go with a sexy and luxurious sweater, and this emerald coloured one really pleased my eye. I combined it with these ever-so-chic pouf shorts for an element of fun. I matched my pumps to the shorts and my jewellery to the sweater, and then finished off with a long gold necklace to fall sexily into the deep neckline.

Gotta’ Love G.L.A.M.
Friday, February 1st, 2008I was shopping in GLAM the other day when I realised that I own about 95% of their entire collection and that I use some piece from GLAM in many, many of my looks — there’s a reason for that.
They seem to quietly churn out high-quality clothes without much pomp and fanfare. However, what comes out of their design studio is of the highest standard with regards to textures, prims, design and construction. They understand colour and they provide their garments on every conceivable layer — thus making them a gold mine for a mixer & matcher like myself. To top it all off; their prices are extremely competitive, making it possible to buy every single piece you fall in love with (i.e. my 95%).
I’m wearing the Dark Denim Jumpsuit “straight out of the box” together with these oh-so-sexy white boots.

A word on my hair; it’s from another Japanese designer who understands blonde textures — Tukinowaguma Hair — very exciting with all these new options for us picky fair heads!

Low Maintenance
Wednesday, January 30th, 2008I felt like going low-maintenance today, just throwing on a pair of jeans and a top and be ready with it.
So, a pair of jeans; ripped and low-ride (time for some mid-riff baring I thought) paired with a funky little cardigan in a lush green and matching slingbacks. Pink contrasts nicely with the green, so I added the tank and the handbag to give the look a hint of structure.

Although a low-maintenance day I still want to look feminine, so I added a pair of large hoops and this cool squid necklace.

Sport-Chic
Wednesday, January 23rd, 2008After yesterday’s excesses I needed a dose of sleek simplicity.
It comes in the form of this sporty-chic look that I adore — this is a look you should be seeing more of in RL fashions for the spring and summer as well. The pink jacket is what embodies the look I’m trying for with it’s clean lines and geometrical details, and to enhance the sportiness, I paired it with these white leggings and a high set ponytail. Now, as a true fashionista, I couldn’t leave off the stilettos (would I ever!) so I wore these delicate nude heels, which I think puts the “chic” into this look perfectly.

Spoiled Brat
Tuesday, January 22nd, 2008Today I’ve gone completely over the top — and I really loved it! You can blame Sofia and her Gossip Girl post ! My inspiration was Blair Waldorf from that very addictive TV series — for those of you who have not yet seen it, Blair is a super rich bitch from Manhattan’s swanky Upper East side, who rules the private school she goes to.
I was aiming for the look of a sexy school girl with a serious shopping budget. I started with the little chic jacket in a rose pink and then added the short, white skirt and the low-cut camisole for that feel of sexy girlieness (white is also a big colour this winter season). I also covered up the arms in a white undershirt. Next I went with classic knee high socks and these gorgeous gorgeous chunky pumps in a pale pink, which together with the hat and scarf gave that school girl feel. To finish, I added a long strand of white pearls and a funky little clutch.
