I’m a big fan of original and unusual clothes, and this lovely dress, with its ethnic feel, appealed to that side of me.
I started out getting dressed today with a boho-ish look in mind, and I ended up with a pure Last Call mix!
I am definitely a very situational person when it comes to my choice of dress in Second Life. One minute I can be dressed in my 80′s gear for a music event and then the next I can be boho-ed out for a stroll through one of my favorite sims. If you haven’t had the opportunity to explore any of the 4 Avaria sims, perhaps now is a good time. Today’s outfit is just one that I put together while walking through the fields of desert and grass while taking pictures:
Like I said, my inspiration for this outfit wasn’t necessarily a mood but rather a scenario. What I actually started out with was the skirt. Perhaps one of my favorite items from Miko Omegamu, the colors in the skirt are blended so well and the lacey overlay provides a gorgeous texture and contrast. Although you can’t tell in the images, the skirt also moves wonderfully. Given the warmer climate of the Avaria sims, I chose to pair the skirt with a simple wife-beater style tank and a good pair of wedged boots – which less-so serve as something practical, but provide that great extra lift every girl needs for those extra few inches. The obvious choice of accessories for this outfit were all of Lucas Lameth’s boho inspired pieces released earlier this year; the rich wooden tones echoed those seen around the sim at the time I was exploring, and they balance out the weight of the skirt quite nicely. I’ve finished off this look with a very basic face with little to no makeup, and an effortless braid which hangs loosely over the shoulder.

A boho feel for this Saturday night.
I love this little mini-dress with its gorgeous texturing. I just added the old boots and knit knee socks, leaving miles of bare leg for a bit of sexiness.
I accessorised with funky gold jewellery and finished with this lovely braid. I have another new skin; Chai from LF Fashions in the new nutmeg tone — we are truly spoilt for choice when it comes to gorgeous skins lately!

I’m feeling for girlie and pretty today.
This lovely silk dress does the trick — it’s so pretty! I kept things to a minimum aiming for that innocent and sweet look: just a gold locket necklace and the soft wavy hair. For a little bit of modern edge though, I went with these gorgeous ankle boots (decidedly the best shoes yet from Armidi).

I saw this gorgeous silk dress and felt for doing something a little different with it.
I have to start by saying how fine this dress is! The silk texturing is sublime and my favourite feature, the leather belt under the bust, is just so well made — very Bottega Veneta! I’m not big on formal outfits though, so I opted to dress it down to a slightly boho-ish look. I did that by adding a black jacket, the scarf and boots. I also kept the hair casual and wore no jewellery. A word of warning, it can be really difficult to wear jackets on top of flexi-dresses as the black material of the jacket will show through on your buttocks, however, I managed to edit and modify the flexi-dress to an acceptable fit — and it wasn’t difficult as the dress is very well constructed.

A more down to Earth look today with greens and browns.
I liked these green jeans, and as coloured jeans have been featuring in RL Autumn fashions I wanted to give them a try. I went for a casual look with the classic unbuttoned white shirt and a little waistcoat. I wasn’t able to take off the gorgeous boots (my latest love) from my last post, so they stayed on another day, but I really like them for this look as they give it a hint of chicness. The same goes for the animal print bag that is just fabulous.
The hair is curly and slightly on the wild side (thank God ETD is back!). Simple gold jewellery, my beloved hoops, the cool mixed tape necklace from Yummy, and some golden large bangles.
So, like everybody else I’ve been shopping at the new Armidi. I was in the mood for something cute and casual and opted for this cherry red baby doll top.
First of all, a word of warning: the red top does NOT come with glitch pants; I believe it was meant to be a top and not a dress — you can read more about the whole Armidi glitch pant issue over on Be Less Stupid. I solved the problem by creating a new pair of system glitch pants and colouring them in the same cherry red. I then paired the top with these brown leather pants (worn on the underpant layer) and brown peep-toe pumps and the gorgeous bag. Finally, I added chic boho-style necklace and hoops.
I thought this hair-do with the wide hairband tinted to the same cherry red worked wonderfully.
A strange mix today — kind of a glam boho?
It’s all browns today. The shrug is just lovely and would work in many a look. I paired it with a pair of brown leather pants and matching boots. I accessorised with funky hoops and necklace and then added some gold cuffs to the mix.
Another new ETD wig — I love getting a new one every day.
I thought this one worked well today, to kind of give the look a more casual or even bohemian feel.
