Today we celebrate midsummer’s eve in Sweden and it’s a wonderfully romantic evening with midnight sun, flowers and fields and whimsical dancing around a may pole.   Or…. really it’s an evening of herring with new potatoes and lots and lots of vodka snaps, and I’m talking LOTS OF SNAPS.  There will be many a “skål” (cheers) and even more singing, as any self-respecting Swede knows at least two or three snaps songs to accompany the snaps shot down their throats. So, skål ta mej fan!

I’ve gone somewhere between kick-ass and utilitarian with this look.  I’ve got lots of horizontal straps going, from the socks, to the holster to the double belts.  I’m currently loving these tribal hand tattoos that I’ve been wearing for days, and still don’t want to take off.  Same goes for the ring-bracelet combo that I’m wearing on my right arm.

In other news, I’m going to be scaling down my SL activity a little over the summer, so posts here will probably be sporadic. Just letting you know.

I’m still in a rather relaxed mood when it comes to dressing up in SL. Today I picked up this cute little white dress at the Kyoot sale, to which I then added the funky black waistcoat and the rocking red boots.  I think it gives me a folksy rock vibe.

The lovely Grazia blogged a vintage dress the other day and that got me digging deep into my own Inventory for some old favourites.  Now, I’m a notorious and radical deleter; if I find something lurking in there that I’ve worn at least once and have no immediate plans of wearing again, its usually gone.  Consider, as of today, I have 35, 659 items, and that is after 3.5 years  in SL as a blogger and creator. I have no mercy.  :)

Having said all that though, there are pieces that are just so good even I can’t bear to trash them.  Many of those are in my Canimal folder.  I dusted off this gorgeous skirt and sexy boho top to make today’s earthy look.  This skirt is called simply Boho Skirt, but when I went over to Canimal to see if it was still available I couldn’t find it, however, I did find a similar skirt called Rain that would work just as well.  I accessorized with jewellery from Mandala and the  new and super cute shoes from Zaara.
