I attended Instyle Fashion Agency’s gala yesterday, celebrating the selection of 27 beautiful ladies who will go on to compete in SL’s New Fashion Icon competition — -check out the Instyle Fashion Agency blog for more details. Anyhow, the dress code was “black tie formal” and this was my frock for the evening.

Strictly speaking I’m not that fond of formal-formal wear, so I headed for Digit Darkes who always manages to inject flair and edge to her outfits. This Santa Fee gown is no exception; I adore the funky texturing with blues and pinks peeking through the black, and the flexi prims that move beautifully — and how could I not love the studded pink belt? I accessorised with black pearls and rose pink stilettos that pick up on the subtle pinks of the dress.
