Romance Free
Here’s an anti-romance look before we go into romantic overdrive tomorrow.
It’s a rock chic dress with lots of attitude that I just love –it’s from Punch Drunk, and quite frankly, the best work I’ve seen from them so far. I accessorised with a sexy collar (on the Spine) and a little black and silver necklace (on Chest) and some fierce stud cuffs.
A word on these new shoes from Maitreya: In my little honest opinion, they have taken shoe design in Second Life to a new level. Never mind the exquisite technical execution (which we have come to expect from Maitreya by now) it’s the very design that gets my belly fluttering — we have a platform with a ridiculously high heel that come together in a BEAUTIFUL silhouette, which looks so high-fashion it hurts! There are other designers on the grid, who perhaps strive for that same panache, but never really manage to shake the hooker-heel feel from their footwear. This is NOT the case with these….. Bravo!, Onyx Leshelle

Milla the whole outfit is stunning! And I agree, the shoes look absolutely gorgeous … but can you reassure me of one thing? I buy so many sculpty shoes that look amazing in close-up but look like cr*p from a normal cam distance, i.e. they disappear partially, you can see the foot through them etc. They’re not all like that, but many (even from the top designers) are. It would be soooo helpful if you would tell us how they really look inworld. I know the problem isn’t the designer’s fault necessarily – although some of them manage to avoid it completely – but I can’t see the point of wearing shoes that no one can actually see
And maybe those who think it’s ok to sell shoes that only look good in pics would be encouraged to change their production methods

Isobel, I think you make an excellent point! I’m not exactly tech-savvy and I couldn’t tell you why it happens (maybe somebody more clued-in could enlighten us as to how some designer avoid the problem?) but I can reassure you that these shoes don’t suffer from that at all.
As a matter of fact, I avoid blogging those kinds of shoes as I couldn’t possibly recommend them to my dear readers. Now, that is of course on my computer…. I don’t know if the problem can vary depending on your set-up…(again, somebody techie who can educate us?)
Isobel, try out the demos before you buy, that should tell you how they’ll look for you.
