A rock-chic look with a splash of feminine pink.

The centre piece is of course the pink leather jacket, which I paired with a plain black T-shirt and black skinny jeans. I chose these sexy knee-high boots and the studded belt for some edge.

This necklace here is actually one of the very first pieces I ever bought! It works perfectly for this look. I finished off with the slouchy hat on straight hair for a current flavour.

Today I felt for an easy-going, comfy yet sexy look; and here is what I came up with.

I started with this warm and off-the-shoulder sweater in a delicious pink texture, and then paired it with a pair of wool city shorts and opaque tights. I also added a black bra and a single strand of black pearls for some understated sexiness. My feet went into these classic stack heels in a matching pink, and finally, I added a black belt around my hips for some extra detail.

And now to the hair… Before I start my gush, let it be known that I’m incredibly out of touch (for a fashionista) when it comes to new designers and shops — Sofia almost had a fit when I confessed that I had never been to Zero Style! In my defence, I had heard of them long before, but I just never went! Maybe the name put me off? (I’m a sucker for naming and branding, give me anything with “cashmere” and I’m all over it). However, after finally TPing over there, I understand Sofia. I completely LOVE LOVE LOVE Zero Style hair! I’m very, very picky when it comes to blonde hair textures, and I was so pleasantly surprised that this Japanese designer had gotten it so right! For you natural blondes out there, check out the New blondes pack, you’ll be more than happy.

Here is one of those super chic looks I like so much, that I put it together using some very special pieces that I immediately loved.

Starting with the fabulous sweater dress from Ce Cubic Effect — I had been reading about the shop for a while (from Sofia no less) but didn’t get myself over there until the other day; and that was not a minute too soon. The sculptie work on this dress is something I’ve never seen before; the skirt, the collar and the sleeves melt perfectly into the underlying clothes layers and just gives it this unique and truly 3D effect. The cut of the dress is also superb — I especially love the unsymmetrical hemline and the short sleeves; the latter very prominent in RL fashions this season. I dressed it with opaque tights, long gloves, a black t-shirt and a belt in the waist for a wintry city look.
Next on my love list are these sunglasses — perfection! Again, I had read about them for months on the blogs but didn’t actually get them until yesterday and now I don’t ever want to take them off! Perfect size, perfect shape, perfect reflections… *sigh*

Last, but definitely not least, this hair! It’s so Katie Holmes and so “right now”; and ETD has had it for ages! I happened across it by accident as I was systematically picking up all the hairstyles I didn’t already own at the sale — what a lovely surprise indeed.

Here’s a little ray of light in the winter gloom for all of us in the Northern Hemisphere and a sunny daytime look for those of you lucky enough to inhabit the Southern Half of the RL globe.

There’s nothing like yellow to brighten your day and this little dress certainly does the job. I added a pair of leggings and then accessorised with different pinks in the hair, bangles, nails and bag.
I also wanted to show you these sculptie shoes from Periquita: the shape of the shoe is perfect — I particularly like the delicate sliver of a platform under the toes — and the heel, although not as high as I usually like them, is well shaped and feminine. The texturing is also very good indeed. The designer, Erpla Prieto, is also a Swedish gal so this makes it extra special to me.
Thanks for the introduction Sofia!

I’m still in my revived ETD crush and this is Honey, an old favourite of mine.

[Insert Evil Laughter Here] I have just wished Milla a good evening and she is off to bed, so it’s time for some mischief. Well, not really… but close, I guess? At this point I’m kinda like that aunt that comes to visit every once in a while with a really good gift for you to quell your sadness of having to spend time with me, right?
Well, this time I have a good gift for everyone - Lo Jacobs has returned! Well, sort of. It’s not really like she was gone in the first place – but her store Luxe Brand has returned in the form of an outlet- selling some of her old designs. For those of you who don’t know or don’t remember Luxe Brand and Lo Jacobs – it was the clothing store that originally accompanied Dazzle Haute Couture in the Dazzle sim before it closed down in 2006. And let me be the first to say, there are some real treasures in there for those willing to go look. (The Military Coat, The White Victorian Top, The Empire Bondage Tops, and the Black Widow Top to name a few.)

I have been asked about this top a lot; especially recently. It’s perhaps one of my most prized possessions in my inventory – the White Vicotian Top. I’ve paired it with a multitude of things since I purchased it last year, but today I’ve opted for a pair of high-waisted black shorts (from the new OPIUM Everyday by Alaska Metrolpolitan) and knee high leather boots. The top itself has a certain amount of sophistication and class that I felt needed a bit of sex appeal to give the look the right amount of balance.

I’ve gone with layer upon layer of blacks today.

All the textures involved are rich and warm. I started with the black flower print strapless little dress and then piled on layers with the v-neck shirt, leggings and stockings. I accessorised with a wide belt in the waist and black pearls at the neck.

I felt this new hair do from Armidi added a sense of mystery with the heavy bangs covering part of the face.

I called this “quiet” as despite the gold lame capris and gold metallic tights, which would ordinarily take the glam factor sky-high, the look gave me a sense of chic maturity.

Maybe it’s the exquisitely textured pleated blouse or the super chic hair? I just know I’m walking around feeling oh so sophisticated.

I finally made it into ETD this morning! Yay! And I’m in love all over again. I re-discovered so many old favourites and some new ones I had never even considered before. ETD rocks!

All bundled up and ready for a snowball fight!

You just have to look at this hat — what exquisite sculptie work! And the texturing… just wow (click on the thumbnail further down for a close up view). I wore ETD’s Hailey under the hat with some modified strands to make it a perfect fit.
Starting from the hat, I went with the obvious winter bunny look and paired it with this sweater that has a similar pattern (but with funky skulls instead of snow flakes). Then, for a girlie and feminine touch, I wore this wonderful full-length skirt in an off-white colour. My feet are comfortably snug in a pair of black winter boots.

I accessorised with a thick scarf and matching mittens.

I realise this dress is by no means a new release but for some mysterious reason it had passed me by completely and I only discovered it today.

Simply put; I adore it! Another fab creation from Maitreya. It’s casual yet chic and has a relaxed sexiness about it — this dress will take you anywhere you need to go. I only added a pair of knee-high boots, some wooden bangles and sexy hair to complete the look.

Today I have two variations of the same theme for you: red coats with wide belts.
Look 1

This first one here is a younger, edgier and very current version, with a slightly military feel to it. The coat (from GLAM) has the top part on the Shirt layer, thereby allowing me to use this uber-sexy leather corset belt on the Jacket layer. I modified the coat Shirt layer by making it tight-fitting (it was a little loose) and by tinting the inner collar black (originally white).

The hair follows on the younger theme with a silky straight do and funky bangs.
Second look below the jump.
