Gentrified
An upper-classy look today.
Another great open coat from Muism — these are excellent for dressing in so many different ways. I went with a classy daytime look with a pair of jodhpurs and knee-high boots. Next, for some colour and chicness, I added the fabulous neck-scarf and matching gloves.

All bundled up in a wintry knit-dress.
With this knit-dress I’m delighted to introduce a promising new designer called SySy Chapman of Sy Designs. SySy has a nice little selection of dresses and casual denims in her bright and airy store in Cassiopeia Isle and I’ll be keeping an eye out for her future releases.
For a wintry look, I enlarged the turtle neck collar, added some tights and socks and then a pair of silver knee-high boots. Final touches were the gloves and the leopard print bag.
I’m really loving the luxurious hair styles coming out of Armidi Hair.

3 commentsDressing Down
I saw this gorgeous silk dress and felt for doing something a little different with it.
I have to start by saying how fine this dress is! The silk texturing is sublime and my favourite feature, the leather belt under the bust, is just so well made — very Bottega Veneta! I’m not big on formal outfits though, so I opted to dress it down to a slightly boho-ish look. I did that by adding a black jacket, the scarf and boots. I also kept the hair casual and wore no jewellery. A word of warning, it can be really difficult to wear jackets on top of flexi-dresses as the black material of the jacket will show through on your buttocks, however, I managed to edit and modify the flexi-dress to an acceptable fit — and it wasn’t difficult as the dress is very well constructed.

I find myself drawn to soft and buttery nude colours lately, and I’ve been living in this everyday chic outfit for the last two days.
This lace top went straight to my number one position for current favourites — the colour is buttery, the texturing is divine, the design is super versatile and it comes in all possible layers — you’re going to be seeing it featured in many a future look on this blog. I’m also really loving these delicate yet high stiletto heels; they’re so feminine. With all these delicate colours and textures going on, I wanted something of a contrast so I opted for the distressed skinny jeans. I accessorised with gold chains around the hips and neck and then for a splash of colour with the red saddle bag.
Truth is turning out some really good hairs lately — this one is the Dakota in Honey.

An Autumny look for you and your man.
I like this Down To Earth outfit from Relika; the jacket has some nice texturing and detailed buttons and the skirt is girlie and pouffy. I added a white cashmere turtle neck (filled out below with white system underpants) and some knee-high boots. Ben is wearing the Lucas set, also from Relika — for more on the men’s wear, head over to SL Men where Ben goes into more detail.

Whimsy
A slightly whimsical and girlie look for this Saturday.
I love love love this dress! From the rich dark brown colour, to the lace texturing, to the construction — just fab! As it is so very girlie, I decided to go all out and indulge in sweetness. I added the shrug in dark pink and matching shoes. Next came the knit stockings and the oh-so-super-cute little headband. The cameo and sautoir set was my final touch.

Sportive
A sporty look for the city.
This red leather jacket is gorgeous; it’s half open with a loose feel to it — not something you see everywhere on the grid. It’s really well done and has some nice detailing like the high collar and the strappy cuffs.I felt for a sporty look so I paired the jacket with leggings and then with some layered tee-shirts and tanks. This was also the perfect occasion to wear these fabulous sculptie sneakers — the texturing is incredible!
I also added this black scarf for some Autumn-Winter feel.

Feeling for warm and cosy today.
I started with the sweater and matching scarf to which I added a white shirt to cover up some of the cleavage. Next came my latest favourite skinny jeans and then the funky ankle boots. The fabulous belt became the centre piece and the bag the perfect accessory.
Another gorgeous new casual hairdo from Armidi - just love it!

Another coat that generated some instant love at first sight!
There is some fantastic texturing going on here — the rich yellow is just delicious! With a piece this strong you really don’t have to work hard to look chic; I opted for a short and cute hairdo with a jaunty little neck-scarf and matching handbag. Then I put on these delicate nude heels for a polished finish.

Posh In Plum
A posh look in another delicious Autumn colour.
This little plum (or raisin) coloured jacket really spoke to me. The fur collar is just lovely and I felt for something posh and ladylike once I tried it on. I started with adding the black pearl set and the super chic hairdo, which felt good and right, next the little shoulder bag and the superb shoes came on. By this time it was time I was in danger of looking slightly frumpy, so I decided to add these really skinny pants for a modern edge.
I’ve got another new skin! I finally went over to RaC to have a look (I went there ages ago when they first opened, but didn’t find anything to my liking. But I know I’m probably the last one to get my butt over there since they “opened big”) and I was very impressed with what I saw. I particularly like how they provide different faces for each skin hue — this is excellent for combating the clone-tendencies we have in SL. My favourite was Amber with a porcelain-like quality to the skin that is just to die for. My only complaint would be the lack of make-up choices… or maybe that’s a good thing, I would be spending all my hard-earned lindens in that little shop if there was more to choose from.
