Chic-ness

Wednesday, September 5th, 2007

After a few days of casual dressing it was time for something chic and glam.

I decided to put together some of the latest releases that have caught my eye. I started with the lovely skirt from Immortelle and paired it with the this beautiful and feminine black blouse from Mischief — I adore the silky bow-detail on the shoulder. The corsette is an old favorite from Torridwear and I felt it contrasted nicely with the girliness. I was very happy for an occasion to try out the golden version of my current favorite boots — they look great! I also want to try out the silver pair in a future post. I accessorised with a classy handbag and the newish earring- and necklace set, Chinoiserie, from Muse.

Chic-ness

I went with this short bob in order to leave the neckline free and pull the focus to the shoulder bow. I also like how the earrings peek out from under the hairline. I’ve got new eyes too, I usually wear eyes from Sin Skins, but today I’m trying out Miriel’s new Luminous collection. Eye make-up is smoky and lips are neutral.

Feeling FoHo

Monday, September 3rd, 2007

Here is an attempt at the new “Foho” (Fo as in Folk) style that has branched off of Boho of late.

The look is casual and comfy. I used a funky jacket and worn jeans in a greenish tint as the base. The fabulous scarf together with the sequined pouch add some foho feel. The most defining feature though, has to be these new sculptie boots from Shiny Things, they are truly phenomenal in their life-like detail.

The hair and make-up are casual and easy.

Sunday Stroll

Sunday, September 2nd, 2007

A stroll in the park, anyone? A perfect look for an easy autumn Sunday in the city.

The fitted velvet jacket is so very flattering and versatile; it was part of the Catwalk Collection at Last Call, but I opted for a more causal feel with the striped pants and the cap. A wooden necklace (that actually picks up on the belt on the pants, but does not show in the pics), a large bag and chunky ankle boots continue on the causal and comfy feel.

Sunday Stroll

Gorgeous straight hair and neutral make-up.

Ballerina Glam

Saturday, September 1st, 2007

A dear reader, Priceless Jewell, IM:ed me in-world and asked for a “sexy glam look for a huge party”. How could I resist such a tempting request! Now, I’m not exactly sure what the general dress code for this party is, but I assumed something different and eye-catching would be called for.

The look has something of a naughty ballerina over it. The cut of the dress is delightfully girlie with the tutu-like skirt, but the mini length and the gorgeous gold lamé texture gives it enough glam and sexiness to make you ooze! This one should make you the center of attention. :D

The funky striped stockings are wonderful and a little unexpected, and they make your legs really pop as you walk. The shoes are also covered in gold lamé and are the perfect partner for this dress. A dress like this does not need a lot of accessories; I only added a delicate necklace, some bangles and a little clutch.

Ballerina Glam

I chose longer hair that would cover up the shoulders just a little bit, and smoky make-up.
